I was more than a little surprised to see a logo carved into a solar panel farm outside Kashgar. This has already become sort of a cover image for the project.
Kashgar itself is an ancient oasis on the silk road. The increasingly rare Chinese city with an overwhelmingly non-Chinese population. 85% Uighur. While I might expect a nuclear reactor nearby (because structural environmental racism also exists in the PRC), I didn’t realize that the state-owned nuclear power company was such a diverse exciter of electrons.
Which do you prefer, the natural (-ish) color or the false-color IR that shows healthy vegetation as green?
